Soooooo, I dont think i've been to my blog in almost a year. didja miss me? I think ill just try to summarize what all has been going on. my main reason for not blogging is college.. ive been purdy busy with it, especially this fall.. I took my nightmare class, math, and PASSED it! even though as I was taking the final a power station in Rigby blew up! and the teacher made us sit out in the hall, under the emergency lights and finish!!!! that was a really black night in Rexburg. you have no idea how great passing is to me. I ran around the house screaming and crying, mom thought i saw a mouse. I took an automechanics (still havnt learned how to spell it) class this summer, and i actually enjoyed it.. plus I got an A, that helps. I got to go on several adventures with millus and her summer roomates. Fishing, huckleberry picking, good times. I had been taking care of my dog for almost a year and a half, she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (her heart and lungs slowly filled with liquid). She was old so it wasnt that huge of a shock but she died right before we were scheduled to taker her to the vet, literally, we had the car cranked.. I guess she knew that I wouldnt be ok with putting her down and that she wanted to go on her own terms and at home, so its ok it all worked out.Thats her smiling at me in the picture there. a week later I moved to rexburg to go to school... which a change was good for me I wouldntve done well left to my own devices. I freaked out during my second week at school, had an anxiety attack and almost stopped taking classes...again.. I blame it on the math, but after a strong pep talk from the bishop aka dad I stuck it out and passed. I got to take a 'fun' class too, landscape architecture, that model is part of my front yard project. I encourage all of you to take a class like that. I also had tons of fun with the new roommates, some old friends some new, all great. we went on many adventures and exchanged many socks for christmas haha. So now, im sitting at home searching for a job taking an online class and that is the extent of my exciting life. :D

So i like taking pictures, and for inspiration on what stories to tell here, i like to look through mine. Its wonderful to be able to look back and have so many great memories with great friends. We are so blessed, we dont even realize it. I have a lot of awesome friends. I have always shied away from calling someone 'best friend', i dont want to use the term to loosely, but i would like to call some that. Usually i end up just avoiding the subject alltogether, but here is this chapter, im going to tell you about two of my best buds jana and cara, its hard to say one name without the other cause they are together so much. i met jana first though, even though she transferred to my high school my senior year, and cara had been going the whole time, sad really, and if you think about it. It makes you wonder who you didnt meet, who would now be your best friend, mind boggling, i know. so i'll just put these pictures up. I originally came up with the idea of going out doors and taking lots of pictures.. ever since then its become an at-least-once-a-year thing. Still trying to talk jana and cara into doing some in the snow, much as i despise it, i think it could be fun. but i just wanted to show off some of our products of traversing through the Brigham Young University of Idaho Gardens. its an absolutely beautiful place...

While i was looking through some pictures...

So whilst i was putting together my very first post on my very first blog i was looking at pictures that i had on my computer.. and i figured what my next post would be. So the last time i went for a visit down south was for a funeral, and at christmas time, but i wanted to talk about the time before that, my last family reunion. You know those redneck jokes that people like to tell, like you know your a redneck when:your front yard looks like you're having a garage sale, or you use a hanger to get reception on your tv? yeah, thats my family, and its never a dull moment with them. I love every single moment. so i thought i'd share some of these moments captured on photograh here. enjoy!

Okay, this is on the way down to Mississippi, we drove, yes gas was very expensive. We got to stop by the headquarters for Cabello's in, Nebraska i think it is, anyway, this is a picture of my mum, looking at an ancient catfish he was HUGE!!! we like to stop everywhere, its good to stretch your legs and you gain a bit more culture. although i could feel the testosterone floating in the air here.

Well believe it or not we finally made it to Mississippi, where we got a motel for a couple of nights along with half the family, so i think it was the second day we were there, we had our first big rainstorm, and i just couldnt resist playing in it! my little cousin ariel thought i was crazy but then begged her mum to let her go play with me, she finally relented. We played in the rain together until it stopped like five minutes later. The thing about rainstorms there is that is so warm, its like being in a shower, its wonderful! This is my little second cousin brianna, she was watching us with her big beautiful eyes,Singing and Dancing in the rain!!!

And the day of the Family reunion dawned bright and beautiful, to top it all off, i actually wore a dress, i hate dresses.. but it was a very great time! Good food, family, and lots of fun! Family Reunion 2007

Its Me

My name is Jessica, im the oldest of two kids, I was born in Baton Rouge, LA, and lived in Monticello, Mississippi until i was 10 and then my whole family moved to Rigby, ID, we're starting out on our 12th year here in june...it feels like forever. So Idaho isnt really a bad place to live, its got plenty of natural beauty..and freezing cold weather.

But i grew up in a place where its ALWAYS green. Its a little different here. There are lots of cool people here though, so i guess that'll have to make up for it haha. I love to visit the south though. if anyone ever wants a tour guide..yeah, look me up! the picture on the right is a close up of my great-aunts front yard.

So i like to do lots of things, and stay busy, I like art, sketching, photography, reading is a favorite pastime of mine, I love working with animals and i just finised a six month internship at yellowstone bear world, and i miss my baby bear, Midnight yep, thats her in the picture there, shes about six months in that picture. Yeah ask my friends, you really shouldnt get me started on the cubs cause i wont stop haha maybe i'll get it all out on my blog! bwahahaha!

I just finished my application for BYU-I so hopefully in a couple of months i'll be going to school. I origionally started out at Utah state University where i am in that picture, teaching a class how to flintknap (or make arrowheads), in their museum on campus to be specific, where i practically lived, but hey it was a cool place and im not complaining. However due to some complications and ridiculous out-of-state tuition, im back in idaho for a bit, and ive applied for the biology major. wish me luck!

Ummm lets see what else can i bore you with... oh i know.I like fencing too, no not the kind you put up in your yard, i mean with swords and masks. Basically i love doing anything outside (as long as its at least 65 degrees...) I love to go new places, learn new things, watch new movies. I aslo play the violin/fiddle. I can pick out a tune on the piano(dont tell my branch president) I was in an auditioned choir for two years..so someone at least thinks i can sing. Hmm thats about all ive got for now.. Oh and i am accepting applications for a new boyfriend now. haha kidding!
